Established by Scotty Crane in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, Washington in 1992, Soundhouse Recording was the first ‘built from the ground up’ studio in the city. The 3,000 sq. ft. facility was designed by Chips Davis with Marjori Schmugler & Frank Hubach Associates. The studio features a 1,400 sq. ft. live room, 300 sq. ft. ISO booth, and an 800 sq. ft. control room all built around a 40-input Trident 80B, Studer A827, and a Pro Tools Mix|3 system. The mic locker contains selections from: Sennheiser, Shure, E/V, Coles, AKG, and Neumann among others. Some other producer and engineers that have called Soundhouse home besides myself are: Jack Endino, Scott Colburn, Johnny Sangster, Mark Walk, John Goodmanson, Joe Chiccarelli, Don Gilmore, Ken Stringfellow, Brad Wood, Pat Gray, and Tucker Martine.
